Blue Passion!
I just wanted to share a few pics of my Blue Passion flower...
To me, it looks more purple than blue! I just love this flower and it smells good too!
It is absolutely beautiful. I'm not sure if it is purple or blue but that adds to its beauty! How true to life are the colours in the photo, what do you think having taken the shot?
Rhiannon, It's definitley purple as it looks in the photo.
Shala, The draw back to this flower is that it happens to be a host plant for the Gulf Fritillary butterfly http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulf_Fritillary. I'm told that the caterpillars will devour the entire plant. I'm keeping a close eye on it since I've seen a few of the caterpillars on it as well as a few chrysalis'. I like the butterfly part but I'm not too fond of the caterpillars eating my plant!
